As a Digital Producer, you are one of the creative engines behind our new YouTube channel The Maths Of Everything. You will be responsible for transforming statistics, numeric facts and mathematical formulas into captivating 20–30 minute digital films. You will handle the editorial process from initial pitch and deep-diving research to final script delivery, ensuring every video balances factual and mathematical rigour with native YouTube storytelling that drives high watch time. Beyond the page, you will sometimes act as a studio producer, directing presenters and managing production flow to deliver best-in-class content on time and within budget. This role is ideal for a storyteller who thrives at the intersection of scholarly detail and digital entertainment.

Please note that this role comes with an expectation of high in-office attendance and occasional weekend and evening working.

We offer hybrid and flexi-time working, mental health and wellbeing programmes, enhanced gender-neutral parental leave, interest-free financial support and a digital nomad policy that allows you to work from abroad in two one-week blocks a year. Plus all the usuals such as pension contributions, annual leave and office perks like free lunches, socials, and health treatments.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME
  • Pitching, researching, and writing scripts for presenter-led, studio-based YouTube videos on the way mathematics underpins everyday life.
  • Delivering engaging, entertaining, in-depth scripts for 20–30 minute videos.
  • Identifying, sourcing, and clearing relevant third-party archive materials.

  • Writing and implementing feedback for multiple scripts at once when necessary.
  • Communicating with other producers, production manager, editors, and presenters.
  • Sometimes acting as producer during multiple in-studio shoot days per month in East London, ensuring shoots are well-organised and run to schedule, actioning ad-hoc script rewrites, and working with the wider team to deliver best-in-class YouTube content, on time and on budget.
  • Working closely with the Channel Manager to brainstorm and hook-test different script openings to maximise viewer retention in the first 30 seconds.
  • Ensuring all scripts and used materials adhere to YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Advertiser-Friendly content policies to prevent demonetisation.
  • Providing clear edit notes to the editor to ensure the narrative pacing and execution of graphics align with the original creative vision.
