Based in the heart of Shoreditch, we area multi-platform production company, social media agency, and digital media networkwho are currently on a quest to find apart time Digital Producerto join our Network team and work on The Archaeologists Notebook - Is this your next opportunity?

At the end of June 2026, Little Dot Studios launched the You Tube channel The Archaeologist’s Notebook, presented by professional archaeologist Giselle Király.

In just its first month, the channel surpassed 500,000 views and accumulated more than 10k subscribers.

As a Digital Producer, you will be one of the creative engines behind the channel.

You will be responsible for transforming stories from the world of archaeology into captivating 20–30 minute digital films.

You will handle the editorial process from initial pitch and deep-dive research to final script delivery, ensuring every video balances factual rigour with native You Tube storytelling that drives high watch time.

Beyond the page, you will sometimes act as a studio producer, directing presenters and managing production flow to deliver best-in-class content on time and within budget.

This role is ideal for a storyteller who thrives at the intersection of scholarly detail and digital entertainment.

Please note that this part time role comes with an expectation of high in-office attendance and occasional weekend and evening working.

  • HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME
  • Pitching, researching, and writing scripts for presenter-led, studio-based You Tube videos on archaeology.
  • Delivering engaging, entertaining, in-depth scripts for 20-30 minute videos.
  • Identifying, sourcing, and clearing relevant third-party archive materials.
  • Briefing any required graphics and data visualisations to our editors.
  • Sometimes acting as producer during multiple in-studio shoot days per month in East London, ensuring shoots are well-organised and run to schedule, actioning ad hoc script rewrites, and working with the wider team to deliver best-in-class You Tube content, on time and on budget.
  • Working with our Commercial Partnerships Manager to devise and script engaging brand integrations.
  • Working closely with the Channel Manager as well to brainstorm and hook-test different script openings to maximise viewer retention in the first 30 seconds.
  • Ensuring all scripts and used materials adhere to You Tube’s Community Guidelines and Advertiser-Friendly content policies to prevent demonetisation.
  • Providing clear edit notes to the editor to ensure the narrative pacing and execution of graphics align with the original creative vision.
  • Collaborating effectively with on-screen talent and multidisciplinary production teams.
  • WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Strong knowledge of original You Tube content is a must.
  • Skilled in conducting thorough research and rigorous fact-checking to ensure editorial accuracy.
  • Passion for creating engaging script work and high-retention digital content with a distinct personality and tone.
  • Strong experience devising and pitching innovative video concepts tailored for digital-first audiences.
  • Able to implement editorial feedback efficiently across multiple scripts.
  • Experience in managing the end-to-end digital production workflows, with a focus on You Tube best practices.
  • Familiar with G-Suite and project management tools (e. g., Asana) to organise complex projects.
  • Strong time-management skills, sometimes working on writing and implementing feedback for multiple scripts at once.
  • Effective communication with other producers, production manager, editors, and presenters.
  • Proactive attitude, and ability to respond to detailed editorial feedback.
  • A keen eye for detail and fact-checking.
  • Experience of studio production desirable.
