Based in the heart of Shoreditch, we are an award winning digital content studio and media network who are currently on a quest to find a dynamic Commercial Partnerships Lead to join our team at History Hit. History Hit operates a successful subscription service, podcast network, YouTube channel and FAST channel which is part of Little Dot Studios. Uniquely, History Hit produces award winning SVOD, AVOD and Audio content through its in-house creative and production teams.
As Commercial Partnerships Lead, you will be the owner for our travel, commercial and brand partnerships. The objective of the role is to grow the commercial opportunities to work with partners such as tourist boards and Ubisoft which drive revenue and support the production of editorially relevant programming and underpin our customer proposition.
Reporting to the Managing Director of History Hit & FAST and based in our London office, this role has a small team that will report into the successful candidate.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME
- Leading generation and qualifying incoming enquiries based on editorial demand.
- Overseeing proposal and pricing, pitch deck creation, sales credentials, and collaborative idea generation.
- Directing commercial negotiations, close deals, working closely with the legal team during the contracting phase.
- Working with our production teams to ensure the execution of commercial campaign productions.
- Coordinating internal production teams and source external freelance talent when required to deliver agreed content within the budget.
- Acting as the primary partnership lead for high-value content partners supported by the Partnership Exec.
- Acting as the primary commercial lead for existing strategic monetisation partners (e.g., audio monetisation, tours and event partners). Ensure appropriate vetting of any potential new partners.
- Identifying, negotiating, and overseeing major opportunities for cross-promotion, shared marketing initiatives, and barter-value partnerships.
- Implementing structured post-campaign check-ins and performance reports and proactive outreach to past clients to unlock repeat business.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Skills matter, experience is useful, attitude is everything.
- Track record as a commercial lead working with digital video, video podcast or publisher.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, from internal content teams to external network executives.
- Experience of working with brands and partners, with experience in the travel/ tourism and event or other History adjacent sectors beneficial.
- Strong experience of working with production workflows, campaign management to ensure that the brand partnerships are delivered.
- Experienced with creating innovative but simple commercial frameworks that deliver revenue, profit and underpin History Hit’s strategic objectives.
- Seasoned professional at closing contracts and working with legal and other teams.
- A self-starter who naturally spots opportunities, seasonal or market trends and turns them into sellable concepts.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, and able to work both independently and as part of a larger team.
