At Little Deers, we take pride in being a unique kind of nursery. Staff mental health and well-being are high priorities. Full-time employees work a maximum of 37.5 hours per week, with a blend of long days, short days, half days, and days off. This approach ensures that our staff do not experience burnout by the end of the week and can achieve an excellent work-life balance.
We focus on nurturing relationships, addressing the needs and interests of children, and creating cherished childhood memories, rather than merely completing tasks, filling out charts, or engaging in adult-led activities. We believe that excessive paperwork is unnecessary; instead, we devote our time to having fun and embarking on adventures with children, all while fostering lasting memories in a safe learning environment.
Our philosophy centres on learning through play and nature, prioritising life readiness over school readiness. We encourage children to be independent, make decisions, and take calculated risks. By harnessing their natural sense of wonder and curiosity, we aim to inspire a lifelong love of learning.
