We are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be passionate and enthusiastic about working with children, planning engaging experiences across the age ranges and ensuring the highest standards of care for children.

You will have excellent knowledge of the Statutory Early Years Foundation Stage, Development Matters and Birth to Five Matters. You will be able to liaise with parents and other professionals and always maintain confidentiality. You will have experience leading a team and supporting the manager in the drive to move the setting forward. You will also have enthusiasm and passion to provide the best for the children, families and team members.

Key elements of the role:

  • Supporting the nursery manager in the operation of the nursery
  • Ensuring that safeguarding procedures are adhered to
  • Showing around prospective parents
  • Managing the nursery in the nursery manager's absence
  • Ensuring that the nursery environment is always kept to a high standard
  • Support staff with planning and creating an enriching environment
  • Use of management nursery software

This role would suit an existing Deputy Nursery Manager or a highly experienced room leader looking for the next step in their career.

Essential previous experience:

  • Minimum of two years nursery leadership either as a room leader or deputy
  • Have a minimum of Level 3 qualification in early years education and childcare
  • Have maths and English GCSE
