We are seeking a dedicated Outdoor Early Years Practitioner for a part-time, on-site role at our South Queensferry location within Little Bugs Abercorn on the Hopetoun Estate. Responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging outdoor learning activities.
- Supervising and supporting children in their development.
- Ensuring a safe and stimulating outdoor environment.
- Fostering positive interactions with children and their guardians.
- Tracking, monitoring and reporting on progress within the framework of Curriculum for Excellence.
- Ensuring adherence to care standards and working collaboratively with colleagues to create an enriching learning atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of early childhood development and experience working with young children to support their growth and learning.
- Creativity skills to design and implement engaging outdoor activities that inspire exploration and play.
- Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to planning and facilitating daily activities effectively.
- A passion for outdoor learning and fostering a connection with nature in early education.
- Qualifications in Early Years Education or a related field are highly desirable.
- Candidates with previous experience in outdoor education or working in nature-based learning environments are encouraged to apply.
- A PVG check will commence prior to employment.
- Ability to be reflective and responsive.
- Ability to cope outdoors in all weather.
