Little Barn Owls Nursery Group is looking for an organised, proactive and friendly Administrator to join our busy HQ team in Horsham.

This is a varied role providing administrative support primarily across Recruitment and Admissions , helping our team stay organised, keep on top of enquiries and applications, and make sure our processes run smoothly.

Initially offered on a temp to perm basis , this would be a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced administrative role where no two days are quite the same.

The Role

You’ll work closely with our Recruitment and Admissions teams, taking ownership of day-to-day administration and helping to keep everything moving behind the scenes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing recruitment administration and monitoring incoming applications
  • Contacting candidates and arranging interviews
  • Posting and updating job adverts
  • Keeping recruitment trackers and records accurate and up to date
  • Supporting with pre-employment and onboarding administration
  • Responding to general recruitment enquiries
  • Supporting the Admissions team with enquiries and administrative tasks
  • Updating spreadsheets, trackers and internal systems
  • Inputting and maintaining accurate data
  • Preparing reports and collating information when required
  • Managing emails and general correspondence
  • Supporting other HQ administration during particularly busy periods

About You

We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, confident with technology and happy juggling several different priorities at once .

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous administration or office-based experience
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A friendly and professional approach when speaking with candidates and families
  • The ability to work independently and use your initiative
  • Confidence managing a busy workload and changing priorities
  • Good data entry and record-keeping skills

Previous experience within recruitment, HR, admissions or early years/education would be beneficial, but isn't essential.

More importantly, we’re looking for someone who is proactive, reliable and naturally looks for ways to make things easier and more organised.

Contract

This position will initially be offered on a temporary to permanent basis .

We’re looking for someone who can join us during a particularly busy period and make an immediate impact, with the potential for the position to become permanent as the role develops.
