Little Adventurers Day Nursery is looking for an enthusiastic, caring and highly motivated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our growing team.

We are passionate about creating beautiful, nurturing environments where children feel safe, secure and excited to learn.

We are looking for someone who doesnt simply want to work in a nursery, but wants to make a genuine difference to childrens earliest experiences.

The role

As a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, you will

  • Build warm, secure and responsive relationships with children and families.
  • Take responsibility for a key group of children, developing a strong understanding of their individual needs, interests and development.
  • Provide high-quality, meaningful interactions that extend childrens communication, thinking and learning.
  • Support childrens personal, social and emotional development and help them become confident, resilient and increasingly independent.
  • Follow childrens interests and use in-the-moment opportunities to support learning rather than relying on unnecessary paperwork.
  • Create and maintain inviting, purposeful environments that encourage curiosity, exploration and discovery.
  • Support childrens care routines sensitively, including mealtimes, sleep, toileting and nappy changing.
  • Work closely with colleagues, the SENCO and leadership team to identify and respond to additional needs at the earliest opportunity.
  • Develop positive partnerships with parents and provide meaningful information about their childs day and development.
  • Follow our safeguarding, health and safety, food hygiene and operational procedures at all times.
  • Contribute to maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation throughout the nursery.
  • Participate in training, supervision, appraisal and ongoing professional development.
  • Be an active and supportive member of the wider Little Adventurers team.

About you

You will need

Essential

  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • A good understanding of the EYFS.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and your responsibility to protect children.
  • A warm, patient and nurturing approach.
  • Confidence communicating with children, parents and colleagues.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • High expectations of yourself and the environment in which children are cared for.
  • Reliability, professionalism and a willingness to continue learning
  • Previous nursery experience is desirable, but we are particularly interested in finding someone with the right values, attitude and commitment to children.
