We have more than 17,000 employees with operations in 15 countries. Littelfuse R&D is seeking a R&D Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of semiconductor products. In this role, you will contribute to product mechanical design, coordinate development activities, and support cross-functional teams to ensure successful product modifications and launches. This role is based on-site in Chippenham and reports directly to the R&D Manager.

- Support the product development through product mechanical design and modifications
- Translate customer requirements into product specifications
- Coordinate product development activities to ensure successful design and launch of new products
- Support process engineers, R&D engineers, and stacks engineers in the product modification activities
- Prototype, simulate, and test designs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Drive innovative technical solutions to complex challenges
- Manage relationships with global stakeholders, both internal and external
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- At least 4-5 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer
- Skilled CAD user (preferably SolidWorks)
- Strong knowledge of materials (e.g., silver, copper)
- Creative thinker with a passion for innovation
- Proactive self-starter, eager to learn and apply new concepts
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience of working in the power electronic industry would be an advantage.
