Overview Lithia UK Head Office – Hybrid Role (1 day per month to be worked at our Head Office in Annesley, Nottinghamshire). Basic Salary up to £34,611.24 with pension, life assurance, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), exclusive company discounts on used car purchases, leasing deals and aftersales services.

Responsibilities
- As an Employee Relations (ER) Advisor, you will manage, advise on, and maintain all ER cases across the business.
- Your goal is to ensure Lithia UK consistently demonstrates a balanced and fair approach to all people-related matters.
- You’ll have the opportunity to be involved with:
- Providing first-line ER advice via AskHR (telephone and email) and supporting leaders on a range of issues, including but not limited to: Investigation & Disciplinary, Grievance, Absence, Performance Management, Change Management, TUPE.
- Building strong, credible relationships with leaders at all levels, serving as a trusted advisor.
- Ensuring all ER documentation is up-to-date and compliant with legislation and best practices; maintain a user-friendly and informative intranet.
- Staying current with changes in employment legislation to implement best practices.
- Supporting the Senior ER Advisor and HR Shared Services Manager with ad hoc projects as needed.
- Provide feedback and insight to Senior ER Advisor and People Partners from findings when providing advice, identifying skills/knowledge gaps, ER metrics.
- Support on workshops and training to upskill managers on ER topics to ensure consistency in our approach.
- Manage and maintain the employee relations case management system (Zendesk), ensuring the information is consistently up to date and accurate.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an advisory position within HR, ideally managing a wide range of high-volume employee relation cases from start to end.
- Have a good working knowledge of UK employment law.
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, with keen attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and case management skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to work autonomously on multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to a flexible work environment.
- Experience in liaising with leadership at all levels, with the confidence to challenge and influence their approach to people management issues.
