Field based role with travel requirements covering the South of England and expectations to attend our Head Office in Annesley 1x per month.
£50,000 salary with £20,000 bonus and company car, pension, life assurance, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, exclusive company discounts on used car purchases, leasing deals and aftersales services.
Due to the continued growth within our daily rental team, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Development Manager to join the team to cover the South of England. The successful candidate will manage a small portfolio of existing customers and have a firm focus on generating and delivering new business opportunities. This is very much a 'hands-on’ role, and we expect you to be out in the field generating your own leads, and engaging with potential clients from every corner of your territory.
What does the role involve?
- Achievement of annual business turnover, margin and rental days targets.
- Build key relationships to enable a smooth service delivery for each client.
- Work with the rental operations team to ensure that the customer experiences the best and most appropriate level of support and service.
- Analysis of sales data, including customer data to track trends in both their profile and usage.
- Prospect, convert and maximize sales through new business customers.
- Provide regular feedback on market news and competitor information.
- Ensure the CRM system is used to capture all existing customer activity and also records the status of all prospects.
- Generate timely management reports as required that will include pipelines, current portfolio revenue, identifying risks and opportunities with action plans to support.
What do you need to succeed?
- Sales experience within vehicle rental preferred; however, it’s equally important for us to see your ability to take responsibility for your own performance and your desire to be successful.
- A resourceful and tenacious approach to building your pipeline, with a well-developed toolkit of lead generation approaches and the discipline to execute them.
- A proven track record and the ability to make face-to-face visits to potential prospects.
- The ability to efficiently plan and manage your own territory.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation & communication skills at all levels of the business.
- Self-motivational with the ability to challenge the status quo, and research and offer suggestions for improving efficiency or customer experience.
- IT literate, with an emphasis on using technology to be effective and productive.
