We're passionate about developing future talent, and our Vehicle Technician Apprenticeship is the perfect opportunity to learn, grow and build a long-term career in the automotive industry. As a Vehicle Technician Apprentice, you'll combine hands-on experience in our dealerships with structured training and the support of an experienced mentor. You'll work towards achieving an IMI Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Servicing and Maintenance, setting you up to become a fully qualified Vehicle Technician. You don't need previous experience in the automotive industry to apply. We don't expect you to know everything already, that's what the apprenticeship is for. If you're curious, motivated and willing to learn, we'll give you the training, support and mentoring you need to succeed and build a long-term career as a Vehicle Technician.
Please note that if successful you will be required to attend the Stellantis Training Academy in Coventry as outlined below:
- 1st Year: 6 blocks, 4-5 days plus end point assessment which is 2 days
What will you be doing every day as an Apprentice Vehicle Technician?
- Learning to service vehicles, checking and maintaining them following clear instructions
- Learning to diagnose, repair and replace vehicle parts and components
- Carry out vehicle checks and inspections
- Produce time estimates for repairs and maintenance to vehicles
- Maintain repair and service records on the in-house computer system and for customers.
What do we look for in an Apprentice Technician / Mechanic?
- A genuine interest in vehicles and the automotive industry
- A willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
- A keen eye for detail
- A grade C or Grade 4 in English, Maths and Science
