About Lithe Transformation

Lithe Transformation helps major organisations achieve real, measurable change. We partner with complex enterprises to re-shape how they plan, govern and deliver — turning strategy into outcomes through pragmatic, principles-based agility. Our consultants don’t impose frameworks; we co-design bespoke solutions that fit context and optimise the entire ecosystem.

The Engagement

We’re seeking a Senior Transformation Consultant to join a client-facing team supporting a major public-sector defence programme in Bristol. You’ll work three days per week on site (Tue–Thu) with travel and accommodation expensed, alongside a small group of senior Lithe consultants. The focus is helping the client accelerate outcomes and embed lasting organisational effectiveness — not just coaching teams, but designing how the organisation itself creates value.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with executives and delivery leaders to understand core challenges and define clear problems for solution architects to solve.
  • Assess organisational structures, processes and culture to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and deliver targeted interventions — from workshops and training to operating-model design and strategic planning frameworks.
  • Develop metrics and benchmarks to track performance and demonstrate impact.
  • Facilitate rapid experiments to test and refine ways of working.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables that translate intent into action and enable clients to sustain progress.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment that values humility, curiosity and a constructive “critical friend” mindset.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven consulting experience in large, complex organisations — ideally within the UK public sector or defence domain.
  • Current or transferable UK Security Clearance (SC) is essential (eligibility to obtain SC considered for exceptional candidates).
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable and sustainable improvements through organisational and operating-model change.
  • Experience working at both team and value-stream/portfolio levels, translating strategy into delivery.
  • Skilled in strategic process design — planning, budgeting, procurement — to unlock agility while maintaining governance.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills: able to engage C-suite leaders and delivery teams alike with clarity and presence.
  • Pragmatic and framework-agnostic — comfortable drawing from SAFe, Scrum at Scale, LeSS or bespoke approaches to fit context.
  • A hands-on consultant who balances strategic thinking with execution, comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving outcomes at pace.

The Person

You bring strategic vision and the empathy to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders. You’re curious, self-aware and adaptable — able to “read the room,” challenge constructively, and commit once a decision is made. Above all, you care about doing the right thing for the client and the team. Core traits: presence and credibility with leaders; humility and emotional intelligence; initiative and resilience; a finisher’s mentality who thrives on complex problems.

Why Join Lithe Transformation

  • Opportunity to work on a high-impact defence engagement within a trusted, growing consultancy.
  • Hybrid model – collaborative on-site teamwork balanced with autonomy and remote flexibility.
  • Expenses covered for all required travel and accommodation in Bristol.
  • Supportive culture that values pragmatism over dogma and gives you space to shape solutions.
  • A strong pipeline of future work across defence and public sector clients.

Next Steps

If you are an experienced consultant ready to shape enterprise-level change and start early in the new year, we’d love to hear from you. We would also be happy to hear from suitably qualified people who are ideally looking for permanent work - we might be able to work around this.
