My client is an established UK manufacturer specialising in advanced polymer-based manufacturing processes, supplying a diverse customer base across sectors including automotive, healthcare and industrial equipment. They are looking for a skilled, apprenticed trained and experienced Maintenance Engineer with mechanical experience ideally with rotating machinery. Some electrical experience will also be required. Additional training will be provided.
ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Head of Maintenance you would be responsible for day-to-day maintenance in our factory.
Qualifications and skills- Level 3/4 NVQ diploma or equivalent in Engineering
- 17th/18th Edition beneficial
- COCN1 Commercial Gas Safety Certificate
- Experience working in a multi-skilled maintenance role in a production environment
- Welding, fabrication, turning and milling experience
- Adept at fault finding in mechanical, electrical, gas and plumbing systems
- Willing to work beyond standard hours for critical breakdowns
- Forklift driver or willing to learn
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues with our machinery
- Carry out repairs and fabrication work
- Work closely with outside contractors to coordinate repairs, garner quotes and schedule routine PPMs
- Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely as well as produce risk assessments
- Maintain and manage our stock of spare parts whilst minimizing cost
- Keep clear records of work utilising our computer systems
- Maintain the company’s calibration records
