At Lithe Transformation, we are collaborating with a global prime IT consultancy to spearhead a high-impact digital evolution for one of the world’s leading insurance institutions. We are seeking a Lead AWS Solutions Architect to join their team for a 1 year employed FTC and own the architectural vision for a critical Underwriting & Policy domain.
The Mission: From "Vague" to "Shovel-Ready" This isn’t a passive advisory role. You will lead the Discovery Phase of the software lifecycle—taking complex, often ambiguous business requirements and transforming them into robust, "shovel-ready" architectural blueprints. You will bridge the gap between business strategy and engineering, navigating governance boards and leading by example to ensure the "North Star" enterprise standards are met without sacrificing immediate business agility.
Your Technical Impact
- Architectural Strategy: Lead technical discovery for complex underwriting initiatives, aligning with global enterprise standards.
- Hands-on Prototyping: Design and prototype cloud-native solutions on AWS, specifically leveraging Serverless technologies (Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, API Gateway).
- IaC Excellence: Write Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK (Python and TypeScript) to prove out concepts and create standardized artifacts.
- Modern Integration: Drive the transition from legacy point-to-point connections to modern, event-driven architectures (hub-and-spoke).
- "You Build It, You Run It": Embrace true DevOps principles by overseeing the stability, observability (Datadog/Splunk), and security of live production systems.
Who You Are
We are looking for a technologist who can dive into existing code, validate assumptions, and coach offshore teams toward excellence.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Certification: Must hold at least the AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification.
- AWS Mastery: Deep experience in designing complex, high-availability serverless architectures.
- Coding Proficiency: Strong ability in TypeScript/Node.js or Python for prototyping and code reviews.
- Domain Expertise: Previous experience in the Insurance sector (Commercial Underwriting, Claims, or Billing) is highly preferred.
- Governance Savvy: Experience navigating Architecture Review Boards (ARB) within large, regulated global enterprises.
