About the Role

We are looking for a motivated graduate to join our team for a 6‑week project, reporting into the Curriculum Content team. The successful candidate will support the conversion of our existing planning resources into a new, consistent publication format using Adobe InDesign.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain practical experience in document design, layout, publishing, and project delivery within a professional environment.

What you’ll be doing

  • Convert existing planning resources into a new InDesign template
  • Format text, tables, images, and graphics to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Apply brand and style guidelines throughout all documents
  • Check formatting, pagination, and document quality before finalisation
  • Liaise with the project team to clarify content and resolve formatting issues
  • Maintain organised file management and version control
  • Meet agreed deadlines while managing multiple documents

What you’ll need

  • Recent graduate or final‑year student in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Publishing or a related discipline
  • High proficiency in Adobe InDesign
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while taking direction from the project team
  • Experience working with long‑form documents or educational resources
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of document accessibility and publication best practice
  • Methodical and detail‑oriented
  • Reliable and able to work to deadlines
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Strong problem‑solving skills
  • Comfortable working with repetitive formatting tasks while maintaining accuracy

The Interview Process

45‑minute chat with the team (in person) followed by a 45‑minute practical task.
