This position is based in Denver, CO, and requires on‑site presence at least three days per week as part of a hybrid working model. Candidates should reside within reasonable commuting distance.
As a Senior Software Engineer at Litera, you will be part of a dynamic team passionate about driving innovation in the legal technology space. You will work with cutting‑edge tools and collaborate with industry experts to deliver solutions that make a real difference in the legal profession. Senior Engineers undertake all aspects of development, applying the latest techniques and technologies. Your role will include coding, mentoring peers, triaging bugs, and acting as an initial escalation point for Tier 3 developer support.
Key Responsibilities- Act as an initial escalation point for third‑line developer support.
- Serve as a point of authority for developed areas of the product.
- Assist and mentor other team members with guidance on technology, implementation, and business logic.
- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders through various phases of the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure all raised defects are resolved.
- Work with the Development Manager, Principal Technical Architect, Senior Technical Leadership, and Product Managers to ensure detailed assigned requirements are fulfilled.
- Assume ownership of all work assigned.
- Communicate progress efficiently and report any impediments.
- Create and maintain solution documentation.
- Work to agreed principles, coding & security standards, and recommend improvements when needed.
- Multiple years of experience in a commercial software development environment.
- Strong skills in C# and .NET.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365/Power Apps.
- AI First mentality and experience with AI tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
- Experience developing Microsoft technology‑based front‑end and back‑end software solutions.
- Good understanding of JavaScript and its libraries (jQuery, React, or TypeScript).
- Keen interest in new technologies.
- Fast learner.
- Excellent problem‑solving ability with lateral thinking for complex issues.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently.
- SharePoint Online.
- Power Automate.
- Power Apps Control Framework (PCF) and model‑driven apps.
- Azure services (Functions, Key Vault, Cosmos, Graph, etc.).
- Azure DevOps.
- Feature flagging techniques (e.g., Launch Darkly).
