Our AI-powered software helps online resellers list and sell their items faster. We address the challenges of a costly, time-consuming listing process and poor sell-through rates—particularly for unique, one-of-a-kind goods. By training AI to expertly create listings and automate time-consuming tasks like SEO, discounting, relisting, and cross-listing. We’re on a mission to empower online resellers and redefine how they scale their businesses profitably. As part of our growth, we’re seeking a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to join our dynamic team and help drive the business forward. About the Role This is a hybrid role that combines software design and development with a strong product and customer focus. You’ll work closely with customers to deliver a service that makes their resale businesses more efficient and profitable. You’ll be responsible for both building and supporting the functionality you ship – including testing, documentation, customer training, and ticket management. Within the next 6 – 12 months we plan to launch Listing Monster in international markets, which means there will be an on call component to the role. Our tech stack is TypeScript , NextJS , GraphQL , PostgreSQL , and Azure . We use a Kanban-esque software development process. Responsibilities Technical: You’ll work with our engineering team across our full stack and infrastructure to design and develop our core product Product and architecture : As part of our engineering team you’ll help us set product and technical direction based on what we’re learning from the market and hearing from our customers Customer collaboration: You’ll work closely with customers to deeply understand their workflows and pain points, ensuring our product delivers real value to them. Team: You’ll need to be able to mentor other less experienced engineers as we grow the team. Support: You’ll help customers with any problems they encounter both with Listing Monster itself, and with our marketplace integrations and import workflows. What We’re Looking For Professional Experience : 6+ years in software engineering, with significant experience at the senior or staff level. Technical Skills : Expertise in TypeScript, modern JavaScript frameworks (preferably React and/or NextJS), and relational databases (PostgreSQL is an advantage). Experience with Azure is also desirable. A power-user’s understanding of LLMs and related AI technologies would be highly beneficial. Any experience with OpenAI, HuggingFace, or similar APIs would be beneficial, but not essential. Mobile web experience is beneficial. Willingness to learn new skills as needed is essential.
