Listing Monster builds AI-powered tools that help businesses and charities create high-quality e-commerce listings quickly and efficiently. We're a small, experienced team building practical software that solves real commercial problems using AI. We care about thoughtful engineering, clean solutions, and real progress - not hype. We're growing and looking to bring in two junior developers at the start of their careers.
Who This Role Is For
This role is ideal for someone who has recently graduated (or is about to). We're less interested in internships and formal experience, and more interested in how your brain works. You might be someone who:
- Built things for fun before you had to
- Takes things apart to see how they work
- Has a habit of figuring things out independently
We value curiosity and problem-solving ability over a polished CV.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll be:
- Working alongside experienced developers
- Contributing to real product features
- Figuring out problems and improving existing systems
- Writing well-structured, maintainable code
- Learning how production systems are built and maintained
- Gradually taking on more complex work as you grow
You'll get support and guidance - but we'll also expect you to think.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Solid understanding of programming fundamentals
- Comfortable in at least one programming language
- Logical thinker and clear communicator
- Genuinely interested in software and technology
Strong signals:
- Side projects (even small ones)
- Any GitHub activity
- Tinkering with systems outside coursework
- Evidence of self-directed learning
Salary & Location:
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Location: Onsite in our London office at least 3 days per week (SE1 9PG)
Benefits: Private healthcare, 25 days holiday, pension
What It's Like to Work Here

Direct communication
Pragmatic engineering decisions
Real customers using what we build
We're a startup, which means things evolve - but we're not chaotic. We plan carefully and build deliberately. There's room to grow here, and we expect the people who join now to develop alongside the company.
How to Apply
Send:
- A short introduction
- Links to anything you've built (if you have them)
- A few sentences about a technical problem you recently worked through
We're much more interested in how you think than how many frameworks you've listed. We look forward to hearing from you!
