An exciting opportunity to join a UK-based highly motivated laboratory team, at a growing specialist additive masterbatch and bespoke compound producer, developing unique solutions for a wide range of applications with a focus on blown and cast polyolefin films.
The role will be project based and reporting into the Materials Engineer, developing solutions within an expanding Innovation Centre, which is benefitting from continuous investment, and which already houses extensive polymer processing and analytical capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have a suitable technical qualification (polymer / additives / processing related) coupled with a materials background together with a broad range of experience in blown film extrusion and a working knowledge of material and finished product testing. Additionally, excellent knowledge of different film structures and end applications would be beneficial.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a team with excellent attention to detail. The ability to communicate at all levels within the company and reporting skills utilising tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint are essential to the role. The successful candidate will be given appropriate training on specific processing and analytical equipment where appropriate.
This role would suit a candidate with a desire to see ideas transformed into commercial success.
