Extrusion Setter/Operator Based in Kitts Green; Birmingham
Shift: 8 hour shifts choice of (6-2, 2-10, 10-6)

Client Overview:
A family owned and run company developing, manufacturing and selling industrial hose, pipes and ducting products based in the West Midlands. For the last 7 years the focus has been applying innovation and passion for quality to the current and future products required by the hose and ducting market. During this time it has grown by 250% and has a plan, supported by further investment, for growth both in the UK and International markets. All products are manufactured in the UK on 30 extruders with up to three on a line, with more being installed in 2026. The business is an engineering led company keen on new processes, capabilities and talent to help drive this innovation.
Role Overview:
As an Extrusion Operator/Setter, you will be responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining extrusion machinery to produce hoses and ducting to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in supporting the production capacity growth, ensuring that all products meet strict specifications while maintaining safety and efficiency on the shop floor.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the production of PVC and PU products to the required customer specifications.
- Configure extrusion lines using proper tooling (dies, heads).
- Prepare machinery for operation through cleaning and assembly.
- Manage startups and shutdowns of extruders and related equipment.
- Working to job tickets and job specification sheets, accurately completing all production-related controlled documents, ensuring compliance to customer requirements and quality standards.
- Ensure finished product packaging is completed to specification.
- Completion of ad-hoc duties to meet the needs of the business, subject to appropriate training.
- Identify when issues require escalation to site management or maintenance.
