They are currently recruiting a results-driven and collaborative Sales Account Manager with strong business development experience in industrial sectors, to join a growing business that designs and manufactures cutting-edge packaging solutions for the food processing and collective catering sectors. With a clear commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and rethinking material use, this company leads by example in responsible manufacturing.
The Role:
- Reporting to the EU North Sales Director, the role is responsible for developing sales across the United Kingdom & Ireland, with a strong focus on both prospecting new clients and nurturing existing relationships.
Main Responsibilities:
- Managing and expanding a portfolio of clients, primarily in the food industry.
- Actively prospecting and developing new business across the assigned region.
- Promoting and selling innovative and eco-responsible packaging solutions.
- Coordinating and following up on product testing with clients and prospects.
- Responding to tenders and RFPs in coordination with internal teams.
- Producing detailed and structured reporting (prospecting scope, visit planning, conversion rates).
- Collaborating closely with a commercial team within a cross-functional and knowledge-sharing environment.
Person Specification:
- 5-10 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Experience in selling packaging to food customers and/or working in the food industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial B2B environments is essential.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Autonomy, drive, and commercial resilience.
- A passion for innovation, sustainability, and emerging industry trends.
- Comfortable with CRM tools and performance tracking.
- Willing to travel 60–70% of the time within the assigned region (company car provided).
