Our client is an international polymer distribution/trading company partnering some of the world's leading polymer producers, located across Europe, the USA, Middle East and Asia. Established in the 2000's, offering a wide range of materials, a committed and experienced team and facilities in multiple locations across Europe and the Middle East, they form a highly professional supplier of polymers.
The Role: Due to business expansion, they currently seek to recruit a professional salesperson to develop business relationships and new opportunities across the United Kingdom from products sourced from the Middle East, USA and Asia. The UK Sales Agent will introduce their existing network contacts to the company and look to establish the sales supply to these companies, which include both virgin materials and recycled plastics.
Responsibilities:
- Utilise your existing network to drive new business opportunities into the company.
- Achieve sales and pricing objectives at the customer in terms of contribution margin, volume, customer share, cost management, bad debt and working capital.
- This role will cover the UK market; travel will be required across the UK.
- Capture relevant market information and represent the voice of the customer to the business.
- Identify opportunities, market segments and target clients to generate new leads.
- Build strong relationships with key clients, understand their business objectives and provide solutions to meet their requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective delivery of products and solutions to customers.
- Prepare sales reports and sales forecasts to evaluate sales efforts and identify areas for improvement.
The product portfolio is PE + PP prime and off-spec polymers, with additional engineering grades. There are light administrative duties but 95% focus should be on sales.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in Polymers, Sales, Marketing or Business Management.
- A strong network in the polymer market with particular interest in PE, PP.
- Fluent English, writing and verbal.
- A proven track record of generating business, achieving sales targets and driving revenue.
- An experienced negotiator able to maximise margins and close deals.
- Possess a strong network in the UK market of customers.
- Self-motivated and result-driven, proactive in identifying and pursuing business opportunities.
- Sole trader/Self Employed.
- Candidate will need to have an understanding of CIF port, as there is no warehousing or site in the UK.
