We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Manufacturing to lead our production operations and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Hilcote site. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will set and deliver manufacturing strategy, ensuring that products are produced to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and direction to Manufacturing teams, driving performance, engagement, and accountability.
- Implement strategies that improve OTIF (on-time, in-full) delivery, quality, safety, and capacity, while reducing waste and improving margins.
- Champion a culture of operational excellence, with a strong focus on health & safety, environmental compliance, and process improvement.
- Work collaboratively across functions including Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and SHE to ensure site-wide success.
- Manage departmental budgets effectively and ensure resources are deployed to deliver results.
- Inspire, mentor, and develop a strong succession pipeline within your teams.
You are an accomplished manufacturing professional with a proven track record in leading high-performing teams within fast-paced, customer-led environments. You bring:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a complex extrusion and/or injection moulding manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and engage teams.
- A proactive, results-focused mindset with evidence of driving positive change.
- Excellent knowledge of health & safety, compliance, and manufacturing best practice.
- Analytical ability to translate data into actions that support business growth.
- Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related discipline (desirable).
