We are seeking a reliable and motivated Flexographic Printer Assistant to support our Client\’s printing operations in the north west.
This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth and efficient flexographic press runs by assisting with setup, material handling, maintenance, and quality control.
The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to develop a career in flexographic printing.
Key Responsibilities
·Assist press operators in the setup and operation of flexographic printing presses
·Prepare and stage materials such as inks, substrates, and printing plates
·Clean press components, including anilox rollers and ink pans
·Monitor print quality and report any inconsistencies to the press operator
·Support press maintenance and perform basic troubleshooting
·Manage production waste and follow proper disposal procedures
·Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked press area
·Accurately complete job records and production documentation
·Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
Requirements
·Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or print environment (preferred)
·Good communication and teamwork skills
·Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
·Physically able to lift materials and stand for extended periods
·Basic math and measurement skills
·Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed
