Role Overview
As an Extrusion Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the setup, operation and maintenance of extrusion machinery to produce hoses and ducting to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 12 Setters on day shift.
- Responsible for the production of PVC and PU products to the required customer specifications.
- Prepare machinery for operation through cleaning and assembly.
- Manage startups and shutdowns of extruders and related equipment.
- Working to job tickets and job specification sheets, accurately completing all production-related controlled documents, ensuring compliance to customer requirements and quality standards.
- Ensure finished product packaging is completed to specification.
- Completion of ad-hoc duties to meet the needs of the business, subject to appropriate training.
- Identify when issues require escalation to site management or maintenance.
Qualifications
- Experience leading teams.
- Plastic mould tool setting experience, preferably in extrusion processes.
- Committed to achieving excellence in both quality and line efficiency.
- Development of team members, supporting training and enquiries.
- Communicates in an open and honest manner, always demonstrating ethical and professional behaviours.
- Dependability - Takes personal ownership of all aspects of the job role.
