Due to an internal transfer, we are currently recruiting for a Sales Manager to join the management team at our Honda Dealership in Solihull. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team and continue driving the department forward, in a versatile management position.
The hours of work are Monday to Saturday, with a day off in the week and working Sundays on a rota basis. Salary includes an OTE of £62,500 and use of a company car.
Role and ResponsibilitiesThis role will predominantly focus on growing our used car operation; you will, however, be expected to support with new car sales where necessary. Your goal is to achieve agreed sales targets for new and used cars and assist the sales team in offering customers comprehensive support in all of their vehicle financing and insurance requirements. The successful individual will possess a positive, hands-on approach, with the ability to lead and motivate a developing sales team.
- Grow all aspects of sales gross profit, specialising in finance, insurance and value-added products.
- Advise customers on finance, insurance, warranties and other services offered by our dealerships.
- Build trust, communicate effectively and exceed our customers' expectations; ensuring that our customers' buying experience is industry-leading.
- Handle customer queries and complaints and ensure they are resolved effectively.
- Support the sales team in daily operations including but not limited to customer contact, sales funnel management, deal building and closing, professional vehicle preparation whilst ensuring that stock is kept to the company's agreed levels.
- Drive the sales process and support the sales team in achieving their monthly KPIs for unit sales, profit per unit, finance penetration and add-on products, to ensure budgetary sales/profit forecasts are achieved.
- Accurately complete all paperwork and provide reports on all sales activities ensuring accurate sales forecasts.
- Ensure that the sales team accurately and vigorously collect all customer contact and vehicle data in order to maximise the quality and content of the customer database (adhering to the Company's FCA obligations).
You may be an existing sales manager, sales controller or retail manager looking for a new challenge or better career and reward opportunities. You must be able to demonstrate a profitable and successful track record of delivering outstanding results as well as delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. In addition, you need to have strong management and leadership skills, a winning mentality and a real passion for the brand. Motor trade, automotive or car dealership experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
