Job Description
New & Used Vehicle Preparation Technician Jaguar Land Rover
Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting, we are looking to recruit a new and used vehicle preparation technician to join our Jaguar Land Rover team based at our site in Hereford. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, including working 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (43.5hours week).
You will assist in the preparation of new and used vehicles received at Jaguar Land Rover Hereford preparation centre. You will be required to carry out new vehicle PDI's and used vehicle multipoint checks which will include the fitting of accessories and carrying out routine servicing and maintenance.
We offer an excellent basic salary of £30,000 with an OTE of £39,000 plus benefits.
To be considered for this vacancy you will have prior experience in a similar role as either a Fully or Part qualified technician.
In the role you will be required to:
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections to New and Used cars to Jaguar Land Rover standards.
- Carry out mechanical repairs on new and used cars to Jaguar Land Rover standards.
- Visually inspect the exterior and interiors.
- Report all defects to factory ordered options.
- Fit accessories
- Complete any associated paperwork prior to delivery to customers.
- A full driving licence is essential, as you may need to carry out road testing. About you
- We consider candidates from all backgrounds who have experience working in the Automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester or Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join Listers.
- Whether you work at an independent garage, fast fit centre, car supermarket or main dealer, we would be interested in talking to you.
- As a minimum you will hold or working towards completion of your NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
- MOT License would also be beneficial but not essential.
- Full UK Driving licence.
- As long as you can demonstrate good mechanical and electrical knowledge and an ability to ensure all work is carried out to a high standard, we have the training and facilities to help you make the next big step in your career.
