Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join Listers Audi Coventry. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm including Saturdays on a rota basis. We offer industry leading basic salaries & bonus and are reflective of each applicant’s experience and skillset. Basic Salary up to £37,000 with OTE up to £42,000 plus benefits.
As a Technician at Listers, you will be at the forefront of utilising our state of the art systems to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with all vehicles. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our customers’ vehicles, providing outstanding customer support, and collaborating with different departments across the business to achieve goals. Our well‑equipped and modern facilities provide a professional environment for our staff whilst delivering a seamless service to our customers. Role and Responsibilities:
- Electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing.
- Repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack & control systems.
- Fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
- Have a full understanding of customer satisfaction and its impact on the business.
- Operate additional systems, such as video reporting (e.g., CitNOW).
- Complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
- Work closely with other members of the workshop team to constantly learn and share knowledge.
About you:
- Experience working in the automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester or Apprentice Vehicle Technician.
- Hold or be working towards completion of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
- MOT Licence is beneficial but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Demonstrate good mechanical and electrical knowledge and an ability to ensure all work is carried out to a high standard.
