Lister Window Systems are the fastest growing UK manufacturer of windows and doors, based in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent Listers have been making windows in Fenton for over 30 years.

We are now looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join our small Purchasing Team based at our Stoke offices.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for supporting our busy purchasing team in ordering materials and other stock items for our factory and offices. It is a busy role in which attention to detail and computer skills (especially Excel) will play a crucial role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Raise and expedite purchase orders to meet the demands of the business
  • Communicate via email and phone with suppliers
  • Liaise with suppliers on delivery dates, back orders, shortages and returns
  • Match order confirmations to purchase orders
  • Maintain prices and ordering policies for stock
  • Resolving invoice queries and issues
  • Work closely with internal departments to service the business
  • Ad-hoc indirect purchasing for the business
  • Face to face meeting with suppliers may be required from time to time
  • Make cost and efficiency savings

Skills Required

  • Attention to detail – essential
  • Great IT skills – especially Excel, Word, Outlook – essential
  • Quickly pick up new systems, products and processes
  • Good maths skills
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to prioritise and organise work load
  • Interested in long term career or potential future development

  • A positive attitude with the ability to work under pressure
  • Must posses a level of accountability
  • A good team player with the ability to respond efficiently and effectively to the changing requirements
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30 pm
