To achieve this, we need a team of dedicated and outstanding staff, who will contribute to our exceptional learning community. We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant, who will work with colleagues to support the learning and teaching of children in Listerdale Primary Academy.

The post-holder will support access to learning for pupils by assisting the teacher, including the preparation of resources, implementing agreed work programmes both within and outside of the classroom, and providing general support in the classroom across all key stages. This role will also support with breakfast club. This role may be attractive to those who may already have experience of or working with children in any setting and who may therefore have relevant skills and knowledge they wish to develop, or those who wish to commence their career in a Teaching Assistant role in a school environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Promote and support pupil access to the curriculum
  • Support children in their learning
  • Work with pupils individually or in groups
  • Model and promote positive values, attitudes and behaviour
  • Complete observations of their key worker children
  • Encourage pupils to interact and work co-operatively with others, and to engage in classroom activities
  • Encourage pupils to act independently as appropriate

The role is based at Listerdale Primary Academy but may, on occasion, involve working at other academies within the trust.

If you have lived or worked outside of the UK, additional information may be required from you to satisfy safer recruitment checks.
