The main responsibilities of the post-holder will be to monitor the generic email, update the palliative care register, run recalls, and book appointments for care plan reviews. Support the Admin Manager with meeting preparation. Read code relevant information from hospital correspondence and other sources into the clinical record, strictly in accordance with the administrative protocols. The post holder will always maintain data security and confidentiality and will actively take part in eLearning and ongoing training to support this.

To be an active member of the Data Administration team, undertaking ongoing training and development in clinical read coding and not summarising. Provide an efficient and high-quality service to ensure accurate data is recorded into the correct patient record. Keen attention to detail and the ability to follow set protocols.

Ensure inbound correspondence, by whatever method of receipt, is managed and flowed through to the appropriate recipient or department for action. Index and action incoming electronic correspondence, Out of Hours /111 /Electronic Discharges / A&Es / EMAS taking appropriate action for safeguarding, fragility, fractures, admissions, and new or existing ReSPECT forms.

We are a very friendly GP practice with over 70 years of history, led by a stable forward-thinking partnership that is ready to embrace the new look of Primary Care. We have four sites and over 47,000 patients spread across the city of Derby. Currently based at Lister House Surgery in Chellaston, it may be that to meet the needs of the business, you are asked to work across any one of the other sites or relocated. A full driving licence and access to a car is essential.
