An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Theatre Department at The Wilmslow Hospital. We are recruiting for a Theatre Informatics Facilitator to join our team. Within this role, you will liaise with the Theatre co-ordinators and participate in the provision of accurate and timely data. You will also provide effective support and liaison for clinical staff within the Operating Theatre environment, ensuring competence and compliance at all times.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure patient profiles are verified and abstracted in a timely manner
  • Request items & implant codes for first time use from the Database Team
  • Request set up of new procedure codes from the Revenue Assurance Team
  • Liaise with Billing Office to resolve queries
  • Process the daily revenue reports (review, sign, liaise with the Billing Team)
  • Audit un-captured charges on the Charge Daily Revenue Report and rectify
  • Ensure that the Theatres inventories are aligned with the Materials (MM) dictionaries
  • Maintain the process for hired equipment/instruments/prosthesis and reconciling this with Invoices submitted by third parties
  • Assist with all aspects of the administration of the OR Module
  • Ensure integrity of data on the OR module

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous administrative experience within a hospital setting is essential
  • Experience in an Operating Room using clinical IT systems such as Meditech is highly desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills is essential
  • IT literacy and Microsoft Office, Power BI, Advanced excel skills are essential
  • Familiarity with healthcare software systems is essential
  • Basic understanding for financial and accountancy processes such as accruals is preferred
