The Wilmslow Hospital, Cheshire SK9 1NY

Full time, 37.5 hours per week. 7.5 hour shifts between the hours of 7am – 8pm. Mon – Fri with occasional weekends.

We’re looking for a Patient Access Officer to join the team at The Wilmslow Hospital. This is your opportunity to become a vital part of the UK’s largest private healthcare provider. As a Patient Access Officer, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a warm and professional welcome at reception. Your role will involve delivering a high standard of customer care while managing a busy front desk, handling patient check-ins, and assisting with enquiries. In addition, you will provide a comprehensive range of administrative services to support consultants and third parties, ensuring the smooth coordination of the patient journey. This is a front-facing role that requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a high volume of activity while maintaining a 5-star, world-class service.

What You’ll Do:

  • Booking over the counter imaging appointments for Ultrasound, MRI, X-ray, DXA and mammography
  • Acting as a point of contact for imaging queries and reservations from internal and external referrers and their practice management teams
  • Supporting the imaging team with image transfer requests via IEP and CIMAR
  • Sending imaging reports to referrers
  • Liaising with sports imaging referrers to make appointments to support the Elite and Professional Sports Concierge
  • Work closely with The Patient Experience Manager and the Clinical Services Manager to ensure 5* excellence across the facility
  • Forming part of the Front of House team, being the first point of contact for patients, Consultants and visitors
  • Dealing with enquiries in person, via telephone and email
  • Carrying out a variety of administrative tasks
