Location: London Bridge Hospital, Central London.

Hours: Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, with shifts on late, Saturday and on‑call rota.

Contract Type: Permanent.

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pharmacist with experience in Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) & Medicine to join our "outstanding" Pharmacy Team at the London Bridge Hospital, as rated by CQC. London Bridge Hospital is one of the UK’s largest private healthcare hospitals specialising in complex and acute care. It spans three main buildings and five outpatient centres, hosting specialist units across oncology, liver, transplant, critical care, cardiothoracic, renal, orthopaedic and more.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the campus‑wide antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) program.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary AMS ward rounds and manage follow‑up of actions and recommendations.
  • Report AMS data and trends to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with consultant microbiologists and the infection control team to reduce hospital‑acquired infections (HAIs) and promote prudent antimicrobial use.
  • Investigate incidents, support the implementation of new antimicrobial initiatives, and lead policy writing and review via Microguide.
  • Provide clinical pharmacy service to specialist medical wards (liver, transplant, critical care, oncology, cardiac and gastro).
  • Support the training and development of junior pharmacists across these specialties.

Qualifications

  • Masters in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Registered with the GPhC.
  • Specialist clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience in AMS & Medicine.
  • Extensive hospital clinical pharmacy practice, including postgraduate diploma or masters in clinical pharmacy.
