We’re looking for a Theatre Porter to join our Theatres team at The Harborne Hospital. As part of HCA Healthcare UK, the world’s largest private healthcare group, The Harborne Hospital is a £100 million, purpose-built, 50-bed, multi-speciality hospital that opened in January 2024. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, it delivers complex care across cardiology, cancer services and advanced surgery, supported by deep clinical infrastructure, state-of-the-art facilities and experienced multidisciplinary teams.
The hospital works in close partnership with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust, supporting full clinical pathways across a wide range of specialties.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome and escort patients, explaining room facilities and supporting them with luggage.
- Provide a high-quality portering service including deliveries, collections and internal transport.
- Support front-of-house activity, including relieving reception colleagues and managing post.
- Carry out safety-critical tasks such as gas bottle checks and fire response duties.
- Act as a member of the hospital crash and fire safety teams.
