We’re looking for a Head of Pharmacy to join our Pharmacy team based at Harborne Hospital. Our Pharmacy service plays a vital role in delivering safe, effective, and high-quality medication management across the hospital. The team works collaboratively with clinical and operational colleagues to ensure optimal patient outcomes, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in pharmaceutical services. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a well-established team and further develop a high-performing service within a leading independent healthcare provider.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, manage and develop the Pharmacy service, ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality medication practices across the hospital
  • Oversee departmental budgets, financial performance, stock control, and revenue capture
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Manage, mentor and develop pharmacy staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Drive clinical governance, audit, and risk management activities, including chairing relevant committees

What You’ll Bring

  • Registration as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ hospital pharmacy experience
  • Proven leadership experience with responsibility for people, projects, and financial management
  • Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, governance, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
