We’re looking for a Senior MRI Radiographer to join our Diagnostics team at the St Paul's Outpatient Centre. This is a rotational position spanning the London Bridge campus, with a primary base at St Paul’s and opportunities to support services across multiple sites.
Located in Paternoster Square in the heart of the City of London, this brand new £17m outpatient, primary care and diagnostics centre is set to open in early 2027. Bringing together GP services, specialist outpatient care and advanced diagnostics, including MRI, ultrasound, X-ray and mammography, the centre has been designed to deliver a seamless experience for patients and colleagues alike. As one of the first colleagues to join this new facility, you'll play a key role in its journey from day one while benefiting from the support, development opportunities and expertise that come with working for the UK's most renowned family of private hospitals.
As a Senior MRI Radiographer in Diagnostics, you’ll be part of a skilled and supportive team delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services within a modern outpatient setting. The team is committed to providing exceptional patient-centred care while utilising advanced imaging technology to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Working on Siemens MRI scanners, you'll perform a varied caseload of examinations with a particular focus on Neuro, Musculoskeletal and Abdominal imaging. As a senior member of the team, you'll take responsibility for maintaining high clinical standards, supporting the day-to-day running of the MRI service and acting as a role model for junior colleagues. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to protocol development, quality improvement initiatives and the training and supervision of less experienced staff. Cardiac MRI exposure and training is preferable and would provide an excellent platform to further develop your specialist skills within a growing service. This is an exciting opportunity to join a flagship facility from the very beginning, helping to shape a high-performing MRI service in a collaborative and patient-focused environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations, with a focus on musculoskeletal and body imaging, ensuring exceptional patient care and safety throughout the imaging pathway.
- Operate Siemens MRI scanners effectively, maintaining image quality standards and compliance with all MRI safety requirements.
- Support the day-to-day operational delivery of the MRI service, helping to ensure an efficient and patient-focused department.
- Assist with the supervision, support and training of junior radiographers, students and support staff.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives and the implementation of imaging protocols and best practice standards.
What You’ll Bring:
- Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
- HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
- Significant post-registration MRI experience, including competency in musculoskeletal and body imaging.
- Experience working independently within a busy MRI environment and operating Siemens MRI scanners.
- Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to support and mentor colleagues effectively.
