Site: The London Bridge Hospital and The Lister Hospital (twice per month), Central London

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Part-time 30 hours per week, Tuesday-Friday

Shifts: 7.5 hour shifts 08:30-16:30

We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist to join our London Bridge Hospital campus, rated as "outstanding" by the CQC. The role is primarily based at London Bridge Hospital with occasional support at The Lister Hospital. You will deliver and develop Speech & Language Therapy services within Critical Care and support patients across neurology, general medicine, surgery and oncology in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based assessment and intervention for adults with swallowing and communication disorders.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and a wider network of HCA Speech & Language Therapy colleagues.
  • Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation and participate in tracheostomy competency framework activities.
  • Deliver post‑graduate training in videofluoroscopy/FEES and support voice therapy initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

  • Professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Registered member of HCPC
  • Experience working within an acute adult hospital setting, including Critical Care
  • Evidence of successful completion of tracheostomy competency framework & independent management of patients requiring mechanical ventilation
  • Evidence of successful post‑graduate training in videofluoroscopy/FEES
  • Experience in voice therapy (desirable but not essential)
