Working Pattern: 28.5 hours per week term time only Monday to Friday 8.15am - 2.45pm (4.00pm Tuesdays)

Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for Teaching Assistants to join our team and have the flexibility to work across the pathways of Lisburne School.
  • The post requires applicants to demonstrate initiative, a desire to become involved in professional development to ensure high quality of provision, and a willingness to be flexible and adapt calmly to ever-changing situations.
  • Knowledge of de-escalation strategies and Team Teach, while not essential, would be desirable.
  • Applications from people with experience, Level 3 TA qualification or knowledge of different educational needs would also be desirable but not essential.
  • Above all, you must be child-centred in your approach and have the enthusiasm, motivation and ability to work with children who may not relate well to conventional teaching methods.
  • There is a strong emphasis on the nurture and care of our children combined with a significant focus on their emotional and mental health and wellbeing alongside the delivery of our specialist curriculum.
  • Staff work tirelessly as a team to create a safe, inclusive and fun environment where children can receive the support they need to help them overcome personal barriers and obstacles and to make progress with their learning.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Knowledge of de-escalation strategies and Team Teach, Level 3 TA qualification, or knowledge of different educational needs are desirable but not essential.
  • Experience or qualification Level 3 TA is desired.
  • Applicants should demonstrate initiative and a willingness to participate in professional development.
