KEY PURPOSE OF JOB:
- As a member of the Environmental Health, Risk & Emergency Planning Unit the postholder will be required to provide advice and guidance to Council departments on all aspects of insurance matters.
- To provide information for insurance renewal and to undertake an effective and efficient Claims Management function ensuring the scope of insurance meets organisational needs.
- Promote awareness within the Council, to ensure that exposure to claims and losses is reduced by the adoption of best practice.
- The post holder may assume additional duties reasonably assigned by the Environmental Health Manager to address changing business needs and requirements including cover for sickness, leave, or staff vacancies.
