Class 2 Multi-drop Delivery Driver

A permanent Class 2 HGV multi drop delivery driver position available for someone who is looking for sociable hours within a professional and organised workplace based in Spalding, Lincolnshire.

This is a crucial role within a small and growing business. Professionalism and accuracy are important as most deliveries will be to regular account customers.

Drivers will be delivering a wide range of products from heavy palletised hazardous goods to small wholesale items.

• Hours of work – 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
• Overtime will be required during peak periods.
• Pay £13.16 p/hour. Overtime £19.74 p/hour.
• 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.

The Job – Class 2 HGV Multi Drop Driver:

• Multi drop deliveries with physical handball of some products required.
• Most deliveries are within a 70mile radius, in rural and semi-rural locations, no requirement to enter Greater London.
• Drivers are responsible for producing delivery notes at the end of the day.
• Orders will be picked for drivers, but they are expected to load and strap vehicles ready for the next day.
• Vehicle and yard maintenance.
• There will be requirements to help with warehouse and yard tasks such as unloading vehicles, forklift driving and helping manage stock.
• Brand new Mercedes trucks.

The Individual:

• Class 2 HGV license required.
• Up to date CPC required.
• ADR (Hazardous Goods) preferable but training will be provided.
• Counterbalance Forklift license preferable but training will be provided.
• Good literacy and numeracy to read delivery notes.
• English language.
• Basic IT literacy.
• Due to the requirements of the role drivers must be physically fit and able to manually handle and get on and off the lorry bed.
