About the Role
Our client in Wokingham is looking for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Adult Safeguarding team. This role involves working within the community and hospital settings to carry out social care assessments, develop care plans, and support vulnerable adults.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough social care assessments to identify the needs of vulnerable adults.
- Develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Undertake safeguarding enquiries to protect adults at risk.
- Manage a caseload, ensuring timely and effective support for each client.
- Operate in a hybrid model, working both from home and various sites as required.
- Undertake other assessments such as Mental Capacity Assessments (MCA) and Continuing Health Care (CHC) checklists as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Professional Qualification: A recognised professional qualification in social work, such as an MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW (Certificate of Qualification in Social Work).
- Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England, the regulatory body for social workers in England.
- Experience: Significant safeguarding experience within the last year.
- Knowledge of Legislation: Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Skills: Strong assessment and analysis skills, good IT skills with knowledge of Mosaic, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence and access to a car are required for client visits.
- Right to work in UK: Eligible to work in the UK.
