Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Team Manager for its client to lead a specialist service encompassing Child Protection Chairs, Fostering Independent Reviewing Officers (IROs), and the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO). This is a strategic leadership role for an experienced manager with a deep understanding of safeguarding, fostering, and review processes.

Role Overview

You’ll oversee a team of professionals responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding and permanency planning for children. This role requires strong leadership, expert knowledge of statutory frameworks, and the ability to drive quality assurance across multiple service areas.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Lead and manage a team of Child Protection Chairs, Fostering IROs, and the LADO
  • Ensure statutory responsibilities and review processes are met with rigour and consistency
  • Promote high-quality safeguarding practice and permanency planning
  • Provide oversight and challenge to ensure effective multi-agency working
  • Support continuous improvement and service development
  • Represent the service in strategic forums and contribute to policy shaping

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Proven leadership experience in children’s social care
  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, fostering regulations, and IRO responsibilities
  • Ability to manage complex systems and drive performance
  • Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
