Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Social Worker for its client's Learning Disabilities Team based in Redcar & Cleveland.
This is a full-time agency role offering £283 per day and provides an opportunity to support adults and carers through person-centred, strengths-based practice that promotes independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.

- What you'll be doing
- Undertaking Care Act assessments and reviews in line with legislation and best practice.
- Developing outcome-focused support plans with adults and carers.
- Managing a diverse caseload within the Learning Disabilities Team.
- Completing safeguarding enquiries and supporting safeguarding processes where required.
- Carrying out statutory duties, including court-related work when necessary.
- Assessing and managing risk to support safe and effective decision‑making.
- Working collaboratively with health colleagues, partner agencies, families, and carers.
- Maintaining accurate and timely case records, assessments, and reports.
- Promoting independence, choice, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for adults.
What we're looking for
To be successful in this role, you will need
- A recognised Social Work qualification (BA, MA, Dip SW, CQSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working within Adult Social Care.
- Knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, safeguarding legislation, and adult social care practice.
- Experience undertaking assessments and managing complex casework.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- A collaborative and person‑centred approach to practice.
Experience within Learning Disabilities services is desirable but not essential.
We recognise that valuable skills and transferable experience can be gained in a range of adult social care settings.
