Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting experienced and passionate Children and Families Social Workers who are seeking their next locum opportunity. Our client in St Helens is looking for a skilled professional to join their Family Help and Protection Team, where your work will play a vital role in shaping the futures of vulnerable children and families.

Responsibilities:

  • You’ll join a supportive team of six social workers, led by an Assistant Team Manager and Team Manager who are committed to reflective supervision and manageable caseloads.
  • This role covers the full spectrum of statutory social work, including:
    • Children in Need (CIN)
    • Child Protection (CP)
    • Pre-Proceedings (PLO)
    • Care Proceedings through to Final Hearing

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Proven experience in statutory children’s services, especially within court proceedings
  • Confident in managing complex cases and working within legal frameworks
  • Strong assessment, communication and report-writing skills
