Liquid Personnel is currently seeking a qualified and warranted Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to support its client's busy Adult Social Care service on the Isle of Wight. This opportunity has arisen due to a short-term increase in workload and offers a flexible working pattern across both core and out-of-hours services.
Responsibilities
- Carry out statutory AMHP duties within Adult Social Care
- Undertake Mental Health Act assessments in line with legislation
- Work flexibly across office hours and out-of-hours AMHP rota
- Collaborate with the Community Mental Health Team and wider partners
- Limited involvement in social care casework where required
About the Team
You will be part of the Adult Social Care and Housing Mental Health Team, working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Location and Travel
This role is based on the Isle of Wight, with office presence at County Hall in Newport.
Please note: Travel via ferry is required for this position.

Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role you must have;
- Qualified Social Worker with current SWE registration
- Warranted AMHP status
- Proven experience completing Mental Health Act assessments
- Ability to work flexibly, including evening and out-of-hours shifts
- Strong decision-making and risk assessment skills
