Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Social Workerto join the Cared for Children's Teamat Knowsley.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dedicated team supporting children and young people in care, ensuring they achieve the best possible outcomes through effective care planning, permanence planning, and statutory intervention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of Cared for Children and Young People.
  • Complete statutory visits, assessments, and care planning.
  • Undertake permanence planning and pathway planning where required.
  • Prepare reports and attend court proceedings.
  • Work closely with foster carers, residential providers, families, and partner agencies.
  • Contribute to care reviews and ensure plans are progressed effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records.

Requirements

  • Social Work England registration.
  • Qualified Social Worker status.
  • Previous experience working within a Cared for Children, Looked After Children, or Children in Care Team.
  • Experience completingcourt workand preparing court reports.
  • Strong knowledge of children's legislation and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and relationship-building skills.
