Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Occupational Therapist to join its client's Haverhill Area Integrated Team within Adult Social Care.
This is a full-time agency role offering £35 per hour and an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive community-based service, helping adults maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will manage a varied Adult Social Care caseload, carrying out functional assessments, recommending equipment and adaptations, supporting reablement interventions, and working closely with health and social care partners to deliver positive outcomes for residents across the local community.
The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with an expectation of approximately 2 days per week in the office and the remainder based remotely or within the community.
Responsibilities
- Managing a diverse and increasingly complex Adult Social Care Occupational Therapy caseload
- Completing strengths-based and person-centred assessments with adults and carers
- Conducting functional assessments to promote independence and wellbeing
- Responding to urgent moving and handling referrals
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing reablement plans
- Setting goals and outcomes collaboratively with service users and carers
- Recommending equipment, adaptations, and alternative techniques to support daily living
- Completing assessments for major and minor adaptations
- Assessing Community Equipment Service (CES) requirements
- liaising with housing providers and home improvement agencies
- Identifying specialist equipment needs and ensuring best-value solutions
- Working closely with health professionals, voluntary organisations, and partner agencies
- Maintaining accurate records, reports, and recommendations
- Applying Care Act legislation and Adult Social Care best practice
- Providing professional Occupational Therapy advice and guidance to colleagues where required

Qualifications and Experience Required
To be successful in this role, you must have
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working within Adult Social Care or community Occupational Therapy settings
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Experience completing moving and handling assessments
- Knowledge of specialist equipment and adaptation processes
- Ability to manage an autonomous caseload effectively
- Excellent communication and partnership-working skills
- Good understanding of Care Act duties and Adult Social Care legislation
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
