Liquid Personnel is recruiting Advanced Social Work Practitioner for its client's Families First Team at Ferryhill, Durham.

We are looking for an Advanced Practitionerto join the Families First Teamin Ferryhill as a Social Work Consultant.

This is a rewarding and varied opportunity to work with children and families in need of help and protection, supporting positive change and improved outcomes.

As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality social work interventions, supporting colleagues with complex casework, and ensuring children receive timely and effective support.

You will work closely with families and partner agencies to assess needs, manage risk, and promote the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Manage a complex caseload involving children and families in need of help and protection.
  • Undertake assessments and develop effective plans to improve outcomes for children and their families.
  • Provide expert practice guidance and support to social workers within the team.
  • Work directly with children, young people, and families to build strengths and reduce risk.
  • Contribute to child protection processes, strategy discussions, and multi-agency planning.
  • Prepare high-quality assessments, reports, and court documentation where required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records in accordance with statutory and professional standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • To be successful in this role you must have,
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Significant post-qualified experience within Children's Social Care.
  • Experience working with children and families in need of help and protection.
  • Experience supporting practitioners with complex casework.
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work.
